Slacking

All this warm weather is making me excited for spring. I'm thinking about cleaning out the closet next weekend to make some room for new additions. Loving the below inspirations.

I love this leather jacket and how it adds a little bit of edge to an otherwise sweet dress.

Loving this stripped skirt.

I'm defintely feeling green this year.

How chic are these coral jeans!?

Neon is everywhere this spring.

Super What

Shocker, I'm not watching the super bowl right now. Instead I've decided to share a few things I'm loving lately, in no particular order whatsoever. Hope you're having a great close to your weekend :)

This henna looks awesome. Makes me want to plan a trip to India.

Sitting on a couch at the beach. I wanna be there.

Heart matchsticks. Could they be any cuter?

This look rocks.

This color screams "Winter is (almost) Over" and I love that.

Still digging the fishbraid, and Miranda Kerr is always stunning.

Color block curtains. Adorable.

Jetsetter

I have a confession. I have only purchased 2 "grown up" bags in my life. By grown up, I mean something that did not come from Express or Forever 21. I cherish these two bags for every penny they are worth, but....

Since I returned from a few weeks of travel, started my job with much more travel in sight, and also ripped a big gaping hole in the corner of my workout duffel bag, I realized a new bag is in order. One that could hold a laptop, my gym shoes, and double as an easily accessible purse for travel while obviously looking professional and chic. It was a challenge to say the least.

I looked high and low and saved you all internet time of finding that perfect bag: the O.M.G. (Overnight & Medium Gym). It comes from a great little company, with a great family story, Lo and Son's. It's everything I wanted and is 20% off until January 31st (with free shipping!). I can't wait until it get's here. I promise to update you when it officially arrives and tell you what it's like in person.

Trust me guys. It's waterproof, with a crossbody strap, and even has feet on the bottom (an essential component of a bag that is horribly missing in most bags I see).

Band Aid Babe

I spotted these fashionable Band Aid's by Cynthia Rowley and fell in love. I am secretly hoping they are in my stocking this year. If not, I might just order them and wear them for the fun of it. Only $5.00 for 20, I say that's a deal for Cynthia. You can buy them here.

Have a Ball

I have absolutely nowhere to wear a ball gown, or any type of gown for that matter, but lately I've been obsessed with them. They are all so beautiful and dreamy. Do you remember that scene from Sex and the City where Carrie falls asleep in her glorious gown while waiting for the Russian in Paris? I want to do that.
I think it must be all those Disney princesses I watched when I was little. Damn you, Belle.

First up, a little black swan-esque. Makes me want to reach out and touch those feathers.

Miss Leighton looking stunning.

I love every single thing about this dress. I would cover my body in sparkles if it was socially acceptable.

Mr. de la Renta sure knows how to turn heads.

And of course, this gem from McQueen. It was in an editorial (Vogue, InStyle? can't remember) a few years back, but has been permanently burned into my retinas.

Jawbreaker

This is gorgeous. I wish I had somewhere to wear an asymmetrical pink feather gown. One day...

American Beauty

I'm not the type of girl who dreams about weddings, but when I saw this Vogue shoot for Lauren Bush (yes, daughter of George W.) and David Lauren (yes, son of Ralph) I couldn't help but admire it. Gorgeous pictures. Gorgeous people. All I have to say is, thank goodness she didn't take his last name.

Pants are Overrated

It was a sad afternoon here. I finished a load of laundry and pulled out my favorite jeans. Now we all know jeans are a little tight when the come out of the dryer. One must fidget with them for a minute to get the right stretch. This did not happen today. They just straight up ripped right up the left leg in the worn spots. I almost cried. Seriously, they are my favorite pair and Gap doesn't have them on the website anymore. I've learned my lesson. Next favorite pair of jeans, I'm buying three pairs. No if, ands or buts.

I've spend the last hour distracting myself with cute skirts,

AMAZING Blazers

and tough gloves (from Gap!) to help my cope with my loss. Hope it never happens to you. :(

I wonder if I was this chic at 5

I would love to believe that at 5 years old, I too was like a little Suri putting together adorable and stylish outfits.Sadly, I think I must come to terms with the fact that I remember wearing plenty of matchy-matchy outfits (you know, the ones that come with both a top and shorts and have matching strawberries or ladybugs on them). Either way, I was wondering through blogland this weekend and came across this adorable little girl from nyc taught me. If I ever have a little girl, I hope she too is drawn to neon hues and a whimsically colored belt to cinch it all together. Amazing.
