Twinkle Twinkle

I've been watching movies nonstop during this hurricane. Pan's Labyrinth came on (don't you love that film?) and the fantasy world portrayed got me thinking. What would I want to wear in that kind of film. Definitely sparkles.

First up, this Alice and Olivia stunner.

I wonder if I was this chic at 5

I would love to believe that at 5 years old, I too was like a little Suri putting together adorable and stylish outfits.Sadly, I think I must come to terms with the fact that I remember wearing plenty of matchy-matchy outfits (you know, the ones that come with both a top and shorts and have matching strawberries or ladybugs on them). Either way, I was wondering through blogland this weekend and came across this adorable little girl from nyc taught me. If I ever have a little girl, I hope she too is drawn to neon hues and a whimsically colored belt to cinch it all together. Amazing.

Rawr

I picked up a magazine at Target today as an impulse buy while waiting behind a slew of unruly kids. As I was flipping through the pages it hit me. Inevitably this time every year while I'm sweltering on the metro, ever fashion magazine, store front, and commercial is gearing up for the fall season. I saw page after page of chunky sweaters and buttery camel boots. I was instantly in panic mode thinking summer was almost gone (until of course I walked outside into the 95 degree heat). While I do hang onto summer for dear life until practically November, I was thrilled to see the trend of animal prints awaiting me around the bend. I can't wait to add a pop of leopard to my wardrobe this fall. I promptly ran back to the accessory aisle and scored this sweet leopard scarf.

Here's what else I'm thinking about.

A fab leopard clutch.

Or a chic satchel.

Or a classic pump.

And if I'm feeling daring, a leopard button down from j.crew.
