James Perse Style

Have you ever seen a James Perse t-shirt or dress? The LA based brand is know for  simple, clean lines which are incredibly flattering. The fabrics are usually soft cotton, luxurious cashmere or silk.

Simple California cool does not come cheap. The dresses are usually $200 plus, BUT they are having a pretty good sample sale on their website right now (65% off!). I have one James Perse dress and LOVE it. It is somehow appropriate in nearly every situation and makes me feel effortlessly chic. You should check it out.

Red-y, Set, yes

Red is one of my favorite colors. I think it looks good on everyone, and is just so fun to wear. With the holidays coming up, I'm kinda craving a new red look.

Do you pick a fun holiday color? Or stick with the tried and true little black dress? While I love color, I'm definitely a disciple in the school of LBD. It never steers me wrong.

I saw this two days ago and almost fainted. Twice. I love a crazy color combo.

These Marc Jacobs would go perfectly with this dress but fml they are out of stock everywhere. If you don't already know, ankle straps are in. And nude will never go out.

Last night I had an unstoppable desire to bust out some St Patty's Day Fun-fetti cookies. If you have never had these before, stop everything you are doing, run to the store, pick up Pillsbury fun-fetti cake mix and follow this recipe. You will love me and hate me.

Lovely Day

One of those fabulous days that you can't help but smile about.
It started off not frigidly windy for the first morning in a while.
In the sunshine I swung my way into Annie Creamcheese to bask in all the glorious vintage for a minute.
Then in the Mardi Gras spirit I met a friend for hurricane's and po-boys at a Georgetown bar, Bayou.

My first po-boy, and I loved it.

Then on the walk home through Georgetown I caught sight of the perfect spring dress.  Hope it goes on sale soon.

And then ended the evening with a heavenly lemon cupcake from the new Sprinkles Bakery. Perfection. If I had theme music today it would be this little french ditty.

I'm back from South Beach, and it was oh so fabulous. It's got me wanting all types of fun spring time lovelies. First and for most after a brief encounter in a pet shop on Lincoln road...
