That's a Wrap

I know you're all wrapping gifts up to get under the tree. Or if you're like me will SOON get to buying those gifts and then start your wrapping.

When deciding on the paper, how cool is this hamburger wrapping paper? It's makes looking at gifts under the tree even more fun.

Go Time

I'm making dinner tonight for a few friends. I can't wait to see them!

When I got up today and started thinking about what to make, I was shocked at how tough it was to narrow down my options.  I wanted to make everything. In the end though, I bought brisket at Trader Joe's. The directions say 3-5 hours. Wish me luck, friends.

In other news, I saw this cute little cake topper the other day and fell completely in love with it. Thought you might too.

Ooo, Burn

I stumbled across this blog about a month back. Someone out there is impersonating Suri Cruise and writing colored commenatry of her feelings on celebrities, their celebrity children and, of course, her famous parents. Some may find it unkind, others offensive, as for me, I think I laughed for about 8 minutes straight. Girlfriend is funny. Enjoy!

What a Stache

Mustache's are TOTALLY in right now. My dad is clearly on trend here as he's been rocking one for a good 30 years. I always tell him that if he shaves it, I'm scared he'll look completely different and I'll have some sort of identity crisis. Anyway, check out some non-identity crisis worthy ways to rock the 'stache.

Little french tip mustaches. Super fun, but I really don't know how they painted them on there.

The trendy Salvador necklace by Mr. Dannijo. An instant party hit.

Next up, gloves for when it's cold, but you still need to look cool.

And for those nights at home with friends a mustache straw or glass really sets the tone.

Aren't they so fun? Guaranteed you are going to start seeing them EVERYWHERE now.

I've been a Bad Bad Girl!

Hey there! Sorry I've been MIA for the past 2 weeks. It's been a whirlwind here. But there is one thing I have to tell you all about.

I was down in North Carolina for a wedding this past weekend. I had put off getting a dress until the last possible moment, and ended up with a cute blue ruffle dress from Nordstrom. It was a little bit pricey ($180) but I thought I could use it for other weddings this summer.

I get down to the wedding and realize my best friend has the same color dress too. Oh well, we laughed and got to the wedding, only to find that same cobalt blue on the bridesmaids. Yeah. Sweet.

Again we laugh it off and head to the reception. We eat dinner and then the DJ starts spinning some tunes. I jump up to dance, and while on the dance floor, rippppppp. There goes the back of my dress and to my horror my rear end is fully exposed. Yes. I am not lying.

We find a safety pin, a friend lends me spanx, and I head back to the party ready to brush it off (after a glass of wine of course).

I would find no such ease. Next up, my delicate little spagehtti strap suddenly POPS off, the front of my dress comes tumbling down and there I am exposed once more. This dress has now failed me in every way a dress really can. Front and back.

By the time we get back to the hotel my key, wallet, entire purse is misplaced. In my full on look of shame, I march up to the front dress and ask for a new key to get into my rom. They look me up and down (dress ripped, strap broken, holding up the front of the dress like my life depended on it) and asked me for identification. I looked at them and said "Do I look like I have any identification on me?" The horror on their faces said it all. I got that key, marched upstairs, and started cracking up to myself of how utterly ridiculous this debacle was.

At brunch the next morning (and really every moment since) I've been recapping this story and laughing myself to tears. Thankfully Nordstrom gave me a full refund, and I've got the best wedding story ever.... until next time.
