Yesterday a gaggle of us ladies got together to celebrate my friend's last night of 'singleness' aka the bachelorette party. We did all of the typical games and activities. The best part, my roommate lent me her leather jacket for the evening. It was the perfect mix of tough and pretty. Now I'm on a new search...
With a bridal shower and bachelorette party weekend quickly approaching, I sense there may be an array of flirty, fun, fruity concoctions in my near future. Keeping with that theme, I've got my eye out for libations Spring '11 style.
First up, the beautiful pear mimosa. Quite a clever change up.
Co Co Sala's cocojito is to die for. And by die, I mean consume as many as possible during happy hour.
Happy St Pattys! I celebrated mine at a lovely little Mexican restaurant, Mexi-Cali Blues. Partly because there was no line, and partly because I love chips and salsa. That 's my dirty little secret that's not really a secret :)
Last night I had an unstoppable desire to bust out some St Patty's Day Fun-fetti cookies. If you have never had these before, stop everything you are doing, run to the store, pick up Pillsbury fun-fetti cake mix and follow this recipe. You will love me and hate me.
These things are crack.
By the way, have you seen that Target's Greatest Hits are back. Top selling items from their guest designer lines for the past 5 years. Designer digs for less? Happiness is....
white peasant dresses ( a perfect cover up for this favorite I showed you)
With so many friends getting engaged I've got a lot of gifts to purchase. One thing that I love about gift giving is the fun wrappings to dress them in. The prettier the better. Sometimes it's the outside that counts.
One of those fabulous days that you can't help but smile about.
It started off not frigidly windy for the first morning in a while.
In the sunshine I swung my way into Annie Creamcheese to bask in all the glorious vintage for a minute.
Then in the Mardi Gras spirit I met a friend for hurricane's and po-boys at a Georgetown bar, Bayou.
My first po-boy, and I loved it.
Then on the walk home through Georgetown I caught sight of the perfect spring dress. Hope it goes on sale soon.
I've been seeing this hair style all over the place. From John Galliano to my coworker Bevin. I've decided not only do I like it, I will even experiment with it on my own lovely locks. No telling how this will work out.
